I paid 50 USD to take my family to see this due to us parents enjoying the book as children and my child being a huge fan of fantasy themed entertainment. My wife and I cringed through most of the movie and my daughter grew so bored that, at one point, she asked to leave. We stayed and suffered through as a reminder to stay away from such "adaptations" in future. Simply put: the movie was bad and those that shat in into existence (screenplay author, director, ect. ... minus the cast who presumably just wanted to get paid) should maybe consider work in another field.
