You have to be a hardcore fan of the Cohen brothers to enjoy this one.
The stories were beautifully filmed and the action was great, but the stories lead nowhere.
I can imagine that the brothers came up with several ideas for larger stories. They got each one to the break point where something needs to happen, and ran out of ideas. So instead of properly resolving each story, they clipped off and moved on.
