I was concerned, at first, that this book would be too difficult to read, too violent, too descriptive. However, the book was tastefully written, giving the reader an insight to the wretchedness of the Nazi regime, but providing a glimmer of hope and reassurance that the hero and heroine would survive. I was so moved by this story; it opened my eyes to what happened inside the Nazi concentration camps.
