If you’re thinking about watching this movie, don’t. Unless of course you like unrealistic hurricane and alligator behavior. If you don’t care about what would actually happen and instead only care about “thrilling action,” then this is probably for you. However,if you are the type to question the logic of movies and wonder if things in them are true to life, then you might not find it as good as some. Somehow this film has high reviews and it baffles me. First off, the alligators behave far more like crocodiles than real gators. Gators aren’t nearly as aggressive as this movie would have you believe. They don’t have man killer tendencies. Alligators actually kill very few people. Oh and there’s the thing of apparently human limbs can survive an alligator bite without breaking off or anything. Yes a limb or two gets broken off but there are several instances where the actors are in the grip of an alligator and miraculously escape without losing a limb. An alligator has a bite force of over 2,000 pounds per square inch. Yeah, I don’t be thinking our feeble little extremities are going to be surviving that. Oh and the hurricane is pretty tame for a category 5 just saying. But you know I’m no expert or anything so what do I know?
