I took my 5 year old daughter to watch this film this morning. Whilst the characateurs of the royals and the trumps are very good I felt there were unnecessary themes that didn't add to the story and gave the wrong impression to a child. An overly personified sexualised dog that won't take no for an answer(?!) resulting in a clearly stressed dog and scenes of a carriage rocking? , a dog that bites a humans genitals and is just put in the 'dog house', bad stereotypes of aggressive dogs, fight scenes of dogs.. this was the most disturbing...I kept checking my daughter was OK with this one as felt it went against most things I teach her. I get its an animation and supposed to be fun and there were 2 parts we laughed at but I was also shocked at some of it too. I wish I'd read some of these reviews before going as I wouldn't have taken my daughter. Would have rather watched secret life of pets 2 again.
