A wonderful story that makes you think. What was it like to be a Jew in conquered Israel? Why did they not believe in the Messiah at first sight?

Absolutely enthralling. More like 4 3/4 stars. Though it's not written quite how I would have written it, hey, Mary Pope Osborne definitely doesn't have to conform to my standards. In fact, I consider it the best of her works so far, and my favorite in the Dear America series.

"We already know the ending of the story. We don't have to worry about the little things. Look out for your sisters, don't forget your brothers. Gotta take care of each other." My friends and I went berserk over this song. We started playing music every time we met up this semester, and we have one song that we repeat every week and two songs that we choose ahead of time that vary. The song where this album gets its name, "Sisters and Brothers", has been so influential for us. My sister and I love to imitate the Cryar sisters, and even the little kids can sing it by heart. It's amazing how much this song has impacted the last few months of my life; it brings tears to the eyes and warmth to the heart.

A stirring story skillfully woven my an ingenious author, The Arrow and the Crown is a riveting tale of courage, mystery, and wonder. Dark fears, bright hopes. Uncertain pasts, hazy futures. Harrowing trials, glorious victories. While following the tale of young Anna von Esche, watch carefully as the tale unfolds into unmistakable beauty. Emma C. Fox has created a tale that may not be as old as time past, but will certainly be one loved by many in the future.
