Best thing to come out of Netflix. I started the show without knowing the lore or playing the game. But once I was finished I was on a lore frenzy I hadn’t been on since the MCU. It has gotten me stuck in the lore and me actually writing notes on the references to the video game. At first I didn’t like them killing certain characters because they became so developed. But then I was realised, for a character to develop you must create an impactful and emotional moment for them to truly develop. And what is more impactful than other important characters dying. You can feel the emotion in this show and understand the different characters’ reasoning and how an impactful situation can effect people differently. It was a wonderful and emotional show that made my depression worse but it was worth it.
