This was really disappointing, lacking any sense of real drama despite the many attempts. Can anyone believe that U boats engaged battle ships in surface engagements? Or that the German captains spoke to their intended targets via radio? The reality of the Atlantic war with its danger and heroism was so stark that this sort of invention was not required. Very disappointing and not in the same street as other Hanks productions such as War in the Pacific or Band of Brothers.
