‘When they see us’ was a life changing series for me. Unfortunately it was a true story. The actors & director was amazing! I cried like I lost a family member. It also moved me to action. My goal is to actively engaged in a movement for reform of the justice system. Everyone need to see this series. Unfortunately this is not a isolated incident. As Mrs DuVernay stated’ the system is set up to do this to OUR children.
