😮‍💨 So bad.

The oddly high amount of bad feedback is funny. The show is great, written well, the cast is great, and looks awesome. I think people are taking issue with lore accuracy, but they forget how inaccurate the movies were in all reality. This show is written loosely based on the unfishinished tales, and about the second age, which Tolkien wrote very little about when compared to other times. The showrunners also do not have rights to the Silmarillion, which causes some lore issues. However, the show is doing a good job of nodding to the actual lore, at the same time as telling a great original story. Overall the show is great, some people just need to get off their high horses. Not everything can be as knitty gritty as the books, as much as we want that sometimes.

I'm starting to see a trend of critic companies that are owned by big box companies giving bad reviews to outstanding shows and movies that they don't own. Plain and simple, if they don't gain money from it, it gets a bad review. Fortunate enough the user reviews reflect how good the show/movie actually is. I really do love Bright. Don't let the critics fool you, it's wonderful.
