This show has many opposing worlds colliding: gay/ straight, young/ old, etc. The design team uses intriguing elements from many different times and cultures to create a scene that has been called confusing, but what I see to only add to this revolutionary series. I feel that in addressing such prevalent topics in such a new and inventive way, having a little creative leeway in the bits from costume to set is only right. On top of the immediate aesthetic appeal, the actors and production team really hit this one out of the park!! So often when a series comes together, each and every move is predictable- a flaw that I see as a demarcation between television and film. "Sex Education" manages destroy that idea with writing that keeps the mind spinning and actors to skillfully pull it off. Excellent writing, excellent acting. 10/10
