Demi Moore and Margaret Qually are amazing in this. I wish it went more psychological instead of just total gross out. Also just blatant emulation of others throughout - The first half was Stanley Kubrick and Hitchcock. The last half was Carrie, The Elephant Man, Sunset Blvd and The Blob. All worthy of paying homage, but idk if it stood on its own. Mixed review for this viewer.

The very first scene with the "butterfly in the jar cannot breathe and will dye" was so eye rollingly obvious and kind of set the tone for this cliched and unchallenging roll in the hay I just want to see the sexy leads dancing and doin' it. The rest is so silly

Some very good moments and good actors. I guess it is meant to be a sort of stylized parable, but for me the lack of any story logic / believability just kept nagging at me. Were there no technicians or capable crewmen on this ship? No radios or computers ? The owner of a 250 million dollar yacht does not wonder where it might be?
