I just finished reading Holly, and i'm regretting making this choice for my first Stephen King book. After watching and loving his TV adaptations, I had high expectations. Apart from the wildly off-putting political commentary which felt like being a fly on the wall in one of King's personal therapy sessions, the storyline was one of the most underwhelming i've read in a while, if not ever. I was waiting for something 'else' which did not eventuate. No twist. No satisfying conclusion. Plus an additional chapter of pointless dribble at the end...Hopefully I can remove this bad taste from my mouth with a better King choice.
