Honestly the worst of the series. The campaign is entirely forgettable, and nothing in it is really impactful. The multiplayer is godawful, the REQs system just doesn’t help at all. You just end up getting a bunch of stuff for war zone, and if you don’t play that, then tough luck. Occasionally you get an unlockable piece of armor, but it’s so rare that it’s honestly not worth it. You just get spammed with useless stuff. There isn’t a good playlist either. They currently have a fiesta event going on where you spawn in that mode with a random set of weapons. Except you rarely, if ever, get a useful weapon. It will just slap you with a pistol and an SMG to fight tanks. The only other option you have to play is ranked, and that’s just not fun. Why does every match need to be a sweatfest? Not to mention, none of the weapons are balanced. They have an explosive machine gun. You don’t even need to aim with it. You can just slap everyone around, no difficulty. Then you weapon variants which either look identical, or are practically similar. The brute plasma rifle and its variants function pretty much the same. They even added an energy sword that makes you invisible, so you can just sneak around the map undetected. Overall, 1/5. Awful game, I got it for free on game pass and I still felt I overpaid. I’ve been playing since halo 2 and it’s never been this bad. I really do hope that the devs of this game never work on another. This was just a massive disappointment, through and through.
