I absolutely loved it. Maybe the fact that I was born in 1941 influenced my enjoyment. I can equate to the values, attitudes and feelings of those times. A very ordinary woman in many ways, but I thoroughly enjoyed Margaret’s story. I relished being taken back to the values of those times and the quality of the people I encountered, as the intriguing tale of Margaret’s formative years unfolded. I confess to being a romantic at heart. I do not want to expand any further, as the unfolding of Margaret’s world proved to be compelling to me. Remarkable that at the age of 93 Margaret Ford can remember so much about the times when she was growing up.
