Elizabeth has taken a big no no topic and made it easily digested and understood. We’ve all heard mutterings about the possibility Shakespeare wasn’t “Shakespeare” and yet, when we push a little harder to find out there’s very little reliable information available. This could’ve been extremely dry but it wasn’t, the passion she has for the material is evident in the way she’s able to make this enthusiasm contagious. So yes, it’s an entertaining read, but more than that it’s also thorough, informative and thought provoking. If reading this didn’t send you on some tangential deep dives I’m sorry you didn’t get invested at the same level. I love a book that I learn from, but even more love for a book that forces me to learn something for myself.
