Martin Wickham (Wicky)

Format: DVD I have been following this film project for a few years after seeing a basic trailer on YouTube some time ago. I have to say when I heard the budget was only 80k I was expecting a fairly budget looking movie. How wrong could I be? Okay so this is not a Hollywood Blockbuster Action Movie, but instead is a very moving account of the men and women of Bomber Command, a truly fitting account of how life must have been. Extremely well written and filmed. The CGI is very well done and looks fantastic. I especially like the scenes at night and the fact that they have been filmed in such a way that you can actually see what is going on. Visually this looks amazing with a slight tint to the movie, giving it that 1940's coloured film effect and the music soundtrack is perfect for every scene. I won't spoil the ending but have to say that it has been left wide open for a Lancaster Skies 2, maybe the story will continue? Well done to the Father & Son film team that put this together!
