Everyone needs to throw away this translation, it is so wrong and messes with God's word. In the real bible John 1:1 states "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. But in this translation it says that the Word was "a god". This is totally wrong, don't support this translation. Don't let the devil deceive you into getting who Jesus Christ is messed up. Jesus is God, not "a god.
