So well written. Hard to put down. Author Mike Dowling talks about how he came to be a Marine & how the Corps developed their canine program. He takes us to Iraq where we accompany him & his dog Rex on harrowing missions. We appreciate the communication between the dog & handler & how that protects our troops. Author & Rex return home safely. I certainly learned a lot about how we humans have learned to understand & develop dogs' abilities.
