Very inconsistent. This show teeters between a SYFY channel B-grade movie and a AAA flagship TV series. Some of the special effects are straight out of an 80's low budget fantasy/horror flix yet some are done very well. The same goes for the acting, storyline, cinematography, sets, costumes, etc. Sacrifices due to budgetary constraints were very evident in many places.
I found it definitely worth watching if you're a fantasy fan but still a bit disappointing. Hopefully they can smooth it out in season 2. 7/10
