K-PAX is a great film, and Spacey and Bridges are both very convincing in their roles. Spacey is especially terrific, as he plays an alien visiting Earth and his acting is nuanced and matter-of-fact. He plays what is essentially a dual role, and carries both parts effectively and with much sensitivity and intensity. Bridges is very good in the Doctor role, and shows a great range of emotion and empathy for his patients. This movie, while containing brief moments of violence and sexuality, is very good at showing compassion and the frailties of human life. I have seen it several times and I enjoy it as much as the first time I saw it. I highly recommend it as it is a terrific, original story.
