I think the only person that would enjoy this show is a Kesha fan which I personally am not. The paranormal content, which I'm into, was horrible. Boo* see what I did there?

This show was never good but it seemed a hair better in the first season. Since then it's progressively gotten more and more lame. They have shortened the investigation parts and it literally feels like I'm watching 2 newbies that don't know what to do when activity starts. Jack gets uncomfortable every single time something happens that may be paranormal which I thought is what most investigators want, maybe I'm wrong? Katrina used to stay at active locations for 72 hours sleeping there and everything. It must be hard for her to let loose and do her thing when Jack gets scared every 5 seconds. I know it takes a lot more for her to get scared that's obvious especially given her history and experience. With a title like Portal to Hell you'd expect investigators that would have a lot of experience including with demonic or evil spirits! It's like once activity starts Jack will ask a spirit to turn light on or off or rem pod. The spirit will do so and then it just gets awkward. There's no further investigating really its like they don't really want to find out much more. I just think the show is extremely boring. Every show gives history so you can get that just about on every other show and every other show the investigators actually encourage more activity and try to gain more info about the spirits etc.

I've only watched a couple so far but I can't help but feel these so called experts are not very convincing. They also seem to have complete confidence that the entities are not going to cause any physical harm to the innocent people with the hood over their head. Seems to support the not so expert theory and also seems very careless! The episode with Sara they were immediately getting heavy activity with rem pods so they ask 2 or 3 questions and get quick direct responses and they are like ok let's move along. Why even bother investigating if you're going to move along when you are fortunate enough to get communication that quick and direct and just walk away. The 2 experts do not seem to give the people they are supposedly helping very much support or advice or guidance what so ever. They don't do a good job at making the person feel comfortable with such a terrifying experience, he basically just goes right to "is it ok if I place this over your head now" and then they leave them there helpless and scared. I would think they would spend more time going over ok if you get grabbed you should do this or if you feel scratched please tell us so we can intervene immediately. Things that are very possible and that way these people feel somewhat prepared in case things go sideways. I feel like it could've been an o.k. idea for a show but they didn't select real experts that have any people skills whatsoever and that was a very important thing to get right!
