This is a great prequel to the original series. All the 1 star reviews are people whining that this series isn't the same as the one they grew up with... DUH! That was never what it was supposed to be. I love PI stories and mysteries, and this series has me hooked. The viewers know the crime but after five (out of eight) episodes we are no closer to knowing who or why, and that is what makes the series so captivating. Yes, we see Perry become a DA and probably eventually grow to the DA that everyone remembers, but how he got there? Yeah, that is way more interesting.
