This live-action Aladdin remake was great. Jasmine and Genie steal the show, with Will Smith's take on Genie being warming, beautiful, and funny, and Naomi Scott's Jasmine simply hitting all the marks of emotion her character deserves. Mena Messoud's Aladdin is the weakest link, but still perfectly palpable. A brilliant update to a classic, clearly done in its very own style and still magical like the original.
