Kendall D. Robinson

Such a good show. Each character, even down to the side characters, is written so carefully and with so much detail that you can easily imagine how they feel, what they're thinking without them having to say it, and the relationships between characters are so accurate to who these people are. Details in this show are intense, with some like the birthday cake Eric eats by himself after spending his birthday with Claire, make you feel the issue from all sides, even as they conflict and contradict, like real feelings do. Wonderful show, and depicts grooming in such a real way that I hope it is an eye opener for anyone who watches. Claire manages to be a main character who the audience can understand, but can still despise. Nick Robinson's (who plays Eric) facial expressions can give away how Eric really feels despite what he tells people. Everyone has a backstory and feels incredibly real. The acting is so so good. A must watch.

Its pretty obvious early on that this movie is meant to be camp, but that's what makes it so good! It isn't necessarily a super serious movie, and has lots of ridiculous elements, but it is funny and enjoyable and there are elements of horror that are definitely there, like decent gore (though under unrealistic circumstances). Plus, shoutout to Addison Rae, I know she gets a lot of hate online for her acting and such, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good she was in this film, which is something I didn't expect to say when I found out she was in this movie. Its cheesy, its camp, and its entertaining and gory. Includes classic elements of horror/suspense with the villian there one moment, gone the next- has elements of "Halloween" and alike films, and feels like an homage to classic 70s/80s horror without making fun of it and while still maintaining its composure as a well done film. Love it.

This has got to be the actual lamest movie ever made. No gore, they don't show anything, all the characters do is react like the mutilations are *so* hard to watch but then when they show the audience bits of it, it's literally elementary horror. Like go on reddit for 2 mins and you'll see 100x the gore that's in this movie. Embarrassingly bad. And the acting is horrible btw. The kill scenes are so bad the guy literally punched people. I can't even. It's so bad. Don't waste your time.

I have never been disappointed by Xanadu live, it's a fun story with great songs and great humor. However, I found the movie (the original, I know) to be lackluster and low energy, and the story felt quite disjointed. Honestly I think I'd be unable to follow if I hadn't seen the play so many times. The actors don't even sing the songs, the songs just play in the background while the actors walk/skate around. Not good. It's like they were trying to put in just enough effort to not completely lose the audience, but it's not at all entertaining. Plus the budget felt like it was probably thirty dollars and some buttons and pocket lint.

There are a million ways this movie could've been made, but I think with the overlap of Kayla's YouTube channel with challenges she faces in real life, how she learns to be confident, and how she talks to the Internet in her videos despite being the "quiet kid" is so cool. I'm shocked at how accurate this actually seems to being in the 8th grade. And one thing I appreciated was how the actors actually look the right age and it's not full of unrealistic looking people. Kayla is relatable, she's easy for the audience to connect with, and this movie is really enjoyable.
