The movie, overall, is ok-ish. . .
They are a lot of scenes that just don't seem to add up. I was particularly thrown off at the end when Monsignor Delgarde just dies and the other main characters simply run out of the church brushing off the whole ordeal.
I'm not going to go into the religious aspects. These guys doing the film had a great plot and somewhere somehow I could understand the message they were trying to convey whatsoever bad acting is bad acting and the message didn't come across how they had wanted.
Many of the scenes don't seem to justify and give credit to the other characters are their imput to the plot. To top it off the direction of certain scenes is just so off putting. Even the dialogs weren't really that fitting (still can't get over the fact how deaths in such horror movies can be brushed off so easily.)
To say it straight, the direction and acting is weak. There are a few jump-scares here and there but I'd rather see movies where the ghost is shown as fearful from the actor's P.O.V. rather than showing the ghost itself on screen that looks just like a badly animated CGI cartoon character....
All in all it's not a movie worth having in your bucket list of must watch horror movies. You can skip this one.
