Honestly, I'll give this thumbs up because of the music. But I'm confused and little hurt. I don't normally read reviews before I watch a movie. Now I wish I had. Only afterwards did I discover I'd been played like a harmonica.
My mistake, I'm sure, but I feel toyed with, and suckered. I suppose I'll get over it, like I got over being lied to by some guy in college. I should have known better, but I took it at face value...the Sharon Stone story, the pompous Euro filmmaker, Tanner. My bad. I'm dumb.
Dylan has always been a joker, and now that I know the truth, I'm beginning to chuckle a little, but I don't even think it was all that well done. It's confusing, manipulative, and reeks a bit of a sophomoric attempt at a big "inside joke." Yuk yuk yuk, we are all so clever, and the audience is stupid. Ha ha.
