I was pretty stoked for this documentary to release. I have never been to Burning Man, but I am and eager to go and want to learn about it as much as I can. The film does a good job of capturing the immensity of which Burning man is. There is so much to see, art , music, history , culture , that it’s impossible to fit it all into a 1.5hr documentary, but the filmmakers did a good job of capturing the general essence .
However the film’s pacing and overall storyline seemed disjointed . The viewer needs a general understanding of BM before watching it. I wished there was more of a back story on Larry Harvey, they touch on him multiple times throughout but for some one like me who doesn’t know much about BM I would like to know where it all started.
All in all, a pleasurable film that got me excited to go to Burning Man!
