With all the power of a console finally behind them, Gamefreak and the Pokemon company decided to make a game with less effort put into it than many of their GBA and DS games. The story is handholdy with no thought put into how to make the player figure things out, the animations are laughable, the graphics are lazily thrown together, and not even all the pokemon are included. For $60 ($90 if you include the DLC which proves less post-game than Gen 4), you pay more than any other Pokemon game has ever cost, and get less return than any other pokemon game has ever delivered.
