I don’t even know where to begin... I’ve been playing NHL games pretty much every year since 2004 and they just seem to get worse and worse. However, I’ve never gone out of my way to post a review on anything but this game is so infuriating I had to say something. This game honestly deserves zero stars. First, the gameplay is so unrealistic that I don’t believe any of the developers have even watched a game of hockey before. The players are about as agile as I was on my pee-wee hockey team however many years ago. That pee-wee team also had better positioning than the players in this game too. You can’t call or make any plays, the cycling on offense doesn’t work, and don’t even get me started on poke checks. If you so much as tap poke check its an automatic tripping penalty, unless you get lucky and actually hit the puck which will do absolutely nothing. EASHL is even worse, as if that’s possible. The game decides who wins, and if you think I’m wrong read the other reviews. I didn’t have a single crumb of fun in the 20 3v3 club games I played, or even so much as smile. It absolutely sucks. The attention to detail is so embarrassing, not to mention the Hurricanes’ second alternate jersey are their retired road uniforms from last year, no Whalers sweaters. Do NOT buy this, they made the game worse and slapped another $59.99 price tag on it like every year. I agree word for word with every other one star review, and those who wrote anything above a one star review needs to be checked mentally. I’d wait a good five years before buying NHL again for another try
