This show is so hard to sit through. The storytelling is so slow. I couldn't make it through the first 5 episodes even though I wanted to like this show so bad. The concept seemed awesome and the little bit of fighting that we did see was well choreographed. But the storytelling around the protagonist was so boring and tedious. Ava is a very hard protagonist to like. She's selfish, petty and flighty. Her inter-monologue is cringe-worthy and just frustrating. I understand that realistically it may take time for someone in her position, hypothetically, to come to terms with everything but TBH, I just don't care enough to sit through it. This may be more for fans of the comics/books or for those that like long-drawn out build ups in storytelling. But for everyone else, this is a pass. The only reason I gave it a second star is because the cinematography, acting and fighting sequences were executed well.
