I used to watch both the Commander Tom Show and Commander Tom's World during the 1980's up until the show ended in the early 1990's. What can be said about the man who used to come through our television screens every Sunday morning at 8am. He was true star to youngsters throughout Western New York and Southern Ontario. He could relate to us in his own way. He made all of us who watched the show feel like we mattered like we were all of his kids too. Our hero had a day job when we saw him do the weather each and every weekday night at 5 and 6 pm. But on Sunday mornings he was the commander of a rocket ship that use to take us on adventures all over Western NY and Southern Ontario. One thing is for sure he is a legend and a true gentleman.
