Kala bazar written and directed by Vijay Anand is a film much ahead of it's time and deals the sensitivity of human relations very carefully. A master storyteller and a director with Midas touch Goldie has lived up to his reputation. The cast comprising of all three Anand brothers and Waheeda have played their part well. Lovely lyrics penned by Shailendra have been remarkably composed by Burman Da and have been outstandingly picturised by Goldie.
Suffice to say that Kaka bazar has maintained it's charm even after six decades.

I saw this movie in my school days with my friends. I liked the music very much..Asha Parekh looked pretty. Same year saw Teesri Manzil of Asha an all time favourite.

I was just nine years old.... When the great songs of this movie stormed the country. I feintly remember my elder brother humming 'na tum hamein jaano'. Simply incredible.

I would simply say spellbinding. It took me to great Mayan period. Very well researched movie. Shooting the film in thick dense jungle. The chasing sequence is noteworthy. All actors have performed superlatively. Kudos to Gibson and Safina.
