5 for animation and music, 1 for unsettling storyline marketed, by nature of its genre, to young viewers. I so wanted to like this, and I did in some moments, but please do not show this to your kids—at least not your littles. It’s disturbing and weird, interspersed with fun scenes that leave you with a whole lot of ‘splainin’ to do.

I really enjoyed this, and it’s a lesson in why you sometimes need to ignore the paid critics. I’m not a fan of the ABBA movies or singing contest extravaganzas, but even if you’re not familiar with Eurovision, you’ll get it. It’s quirky and heartwarming with lots of entertaining but not overlong musical numbers.
