Propaganda for the British Empire in 2002. This is a documentary that unironically repeats the poem White Man's burden. It tries to suggest that the British empire was some noble goal and brushes aside brutality and murder as side effects of bringing civilisation to black, brown and yellow people.
It goes on to claim that the Indians loved being ruled by the British, and fighting for the British implied acceptance of the rule. When the choice is between starvation and possible death (which this terrible documentary avoids mentioning [Bengal Famine]) it is not a choice and nor is it acceptance.
Watch this and understand that this is pure propaganda and the sheer gall to put it out in 2002 is insane.
