83 movie review: The storyline is unconvincing. It was as if I were watching a two-hour test series. Although there were emotional scenes in the film, they did not have an impact on me. In some scenes, they attempted to make it funny, but the jokes were lame like that STD joke. The director could have done the film justice by including a storyline. Most of the time, I was unable to communicate with other team members such as Amarnath and Jimmy. People only knew of Kapil Dev and Sunil Gavaskar. They could have included a brief introduction to each player. Deepika's role didn't add much to the film. It won't make a difference in the movie if you cut those scenes. Her retro hairstyle was also looking a little too fake. With a budget of crores, the producers and directors could have done more with the film, but they chose to spend money on Ranvir Kapoor's appearance as Kapil Dev instead.
