I'm reading the second book now and I'm so sorry to say this movie lacks of any basic understanding of how to tell a story, let alone this amazing one. It's impossible to follow the plot, character's special abilities (of utter importance in the book) are never explained but used even so, relationships develop in two seconds inexplicably and please, the dialogs are nothing but lame trash. You could watch it muted and it wouldn't change that much. Honesty, the most remarkable aspects about the film are probably costumes and scenery. I only hope for Villeneuve's Dune to make better justice to the original story.
