Alot of people are saying that this book is marxist, overly emotional, and/or biased. That it spreads communist propaganda into the school instead of focusing on the facts. Which I find hilarious since it provides more factual evidence and firsthand accounts than my actual U.S. history class, which skimmed over everything in-between major historical events until the early 1900s and has never actually explained to me what communism is other than "the government owns everything" or "no one is rewarded for their work".
