Few books have gripped me as much as Blood Red Road. At first the off beat colloquial style was hard to digest (I can just picture the first editor pulling their hair out), but after just a pages I realized that it was perfect for the story, and settled in to a five star yarn. Now I wouldn’t want this story written any ither way. In spite of their initial distain for each other, Saba and Emmi eventually found what was really important, and made a good team in a bleak dystopian world. The author masterfully wove the character developement into a terrific page turner. I can’t wait to read more about them.
