the Tops are the greatest. certainly Levi Stubbs was the best Motown ever had to offer. having said that...this album is a collection of early Tops recordings at Motown. it is lovably jazzy, awesome harmonies, excellent collection of songs. needless to say, the vocals are young and fresh, and the Tops are in top-form. i highly recommend this album to Tops lovers as well as light jazz fans, and anyone who wants to enjoy soul's early, formative years.
