This show and the books it is based on is an amazing story with wonderful representation. This show is so important for young people who come from abusive situations. It shows badass individuals who overcame many different forms of abuse (physical and emotional abuse by a parent or peers, neglect by parents, or abandonment after one parent passed) and came out the other side stronger and more capable. This can be extreamly important and gratifying for people who experienced such things.

Dead Boy Detectives

THIS BOOK IS SO GOOD!! I was told "lesbian necromancers" and I was SOLD! The actual book itself is so incredibly gripping and beautifully written, it captured me from the first scene. I am not typically a reader. But, this book grabbed me and held on to me for dear life. The only thing that I will say is to have the second on standby before you get close to finishing the book! There's a glossary and a character reference in the back, if you would find that useful! But, do not let that fool you into thinking that you have longer to get the second one. You're gonna want it before you finish the first one, trust me.
