This is my first movie review and hope that I do this film justice by writing my take on it. Bandersnatch is a very unique film, giving the audience the power for decision-making for the protagonist, Stefan. This movie is much like the games like Detroit: Become Human or Telltale's The Walking Dead, where the user is directing where the story plot would go. But, unlike these games, this film does not have a linear path to pursue. Instead, it bemuses even the user to know which correct path to take. I found all the endings, except one jumpscare ending. I really tried, like exhausted all my options before killing Stefan's father because I really did not want him to be like the psychotic author of Bandersnatch, Jerome F.Davies. But that was the only way forward. This film really adds more fire to the already heated debate of free will vs predestination. There was one scene where Stefan was high and Colin wanted Stefan to decide who was to commit suicide by jumping off the apartment building. I chose Stefan to jump off the building, because I thought this was just in his head. But boy, was I wrong. In conclusion, this film was a mind-blowing experience and I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to have a unique experience. Anyone who played the games like those I mentioned above will enjoy this movie, I know it.
