Our American friends invited us to watch the movie. I was born in Egypt and spent many years there. The good thing is that Mounieb did what others feared to start; the pledge to listen. All the people in the movie had empathy. They were changed by the experience.
The byproducts of a materialistic calculative culture; Americans were invited to get a taste of the very emotional Egyptian culture.
Some were moved to tears and others fell for Egypt.
It was a win win experience.
My only take on the movie was the long lectures by the people invited to analyze. It would have been better to hear from the real characters who loved the experience.
