I purchased this book for myself and one for my daughter quite some time ago and we both LOVE it. We have made most of the recipes and I even started to grind my own spices. The recipes are very easy to follow, step by step, and they look and taste delicious. It takes time to prepare and cook Indian meals and I found we can't think we are 'hungry now' and whip up something. Thinking about 'being hungry' = think about one hour ahead. However, it is worthwhile. Gone are the shop-bought curry mixes, we now make all curries ourselves. Preparing the vegetables and the spices has become a nice ritual. "Vegan Richa's Indian Kitchen" cookbook is my most-used cookbook and I have not grown tired of the recipes. I do have some favorites and have not grown tired of them either. I think this book would make a nice gift for someone who is considering going vegan or adding more vegan meals to the diet. It also shows that 'vegan' does not have to mean 'boring'.
