Audience reaction not reported: the diversity was appalling. To repair it would have made it better. But of course it would not have gotten made. The critics dismissed the horror story of seniors as a mere prelude to a conventional crime caper movie. The writer did his research and his dialogue betrays an antipathy against corporate greed. But his bio says only that he became interested in the subject by what he read...not by what he in any way experienced. Hence why he likely veered off into stylish fantasy land. The ending was pat, paradoxical and predictable. Like an Agatha Christie summation rather than an August Wilson heartfelt emotional roller coaster.
