Music awesome. Visuals and cinematography outstanding. Made me feel like I was in Hawai'i again! Most of the story lines were interesting but several need some serious attention; most disappointing was the story of Armond, the resort's manager. But first, whatever happened to Lani?? SPOILER ALERT if you read further!! In the first episode, Lani was introduced as a young employee on their first day who encountered a major personal issue and then never reappeared for the rest of the series! I was so looking forward to her character developing. Poor Kai. Did we really want a talented guy to be victimized by exercising poor judgment without any attempt at resolution to his problem, and some degree of redemption? Why was the seemingly charming Armond-- the gay guy who turned out to be a sociopath in recovery (from drugs) with his stereotyped sexuality and and drive for vengeance resulting in a horrible and unpredictable end?? Perhaps season 2 (it's been renewed) will be more satisfying!

Love Mandalorian, but didn't like Star Wars series or the attempts to intertwine SW themes into The Mandalorian. Computerized special effects of very one dimensional simplistic good vs evil themes. (Yes, I am much more of a Star Trek fan). Mandalorian has some very interesting, compelling characters, even the "kid" (baby Yoda, probably just a cousin!). Will be interested in seeing how Mandalorian will evolve in the next season, when he's supposedly no longer with "the kid". If storyline swings more to SW, then my hook will be gone.
