As a boy of 15 with poor reading skills, this book along with Robinson Crusoe inspired me to a lifetime of reading and my school grades rose dramatically. At 70 years of age I still read this book periodically and am transported back to my younger sense of adventure. In my opinion a great book that I would readily recommend to anyone.
