Remarkable on so many levels: road movie; humane; contemporary; implicit critique of post-modern capitalism; exposes myths of America: dwells on the underside of American life without explicit references to race, gender, or class. Subtle and moving. Shows the possibilities of independent cinema ( beyond the structures of Hollywood and the studios ).
