Unlike other sitcoms where the background laughter tracks and the routine gags pull you in their made up world and their pretentious life-lessons, The Office defines its purpose of narrating the stories of 'An American Workplace' and gives you with the most natural air the perfect proportion of the warmth in its characters and their unapologetic humor that never ceases to show their naivety. The cinematography stands honest to its definition of documentary through the handheld camera movement resembling the intense involvement of the narrator with the frame and the instant pans and zooms that supersede any need of hard-won screenplay. It's believed that the most difficult genre to work with is comedy. And in case of The Office, most of the credit goes to the actors. The people working for Dunder-Mifflin are being recorded, interviewed, and they remain genuine, not because they are playing any character in any sitcom, but because they are being themselves, and they get in their even classier form (and acting) with every single season and episode. A must watch.
