I liked this movie when it first came out but after watching it again several years later and also working in the restaurant industry for over a decade I can confidently say that this movie does not convey the realities of restaurant life. Unless you work at a terrible place where you let the executive chef assault you, and also why is the whole plot that turns around the fate of the restaurant sous vide? If a Michelin star chef doesn’t know what sous vide is or how to properly time a kitchen at full capacity you probably should hire a new chef. Especially one that doesn’t ( I’ll say it again) assault his staff. If you want to watch an actual good movie about a chef in the restaurant industry I’d recommend Chef with Jon Favreau.
